Is your roof nearing the end of its run?

Hudson and Saint-Lazare are two worlds sitting shoulder to shoulder: heritage homes lining Lac des Deux Montagnes on one side, the big wooded, sandy lots of the equestrian set on the other. The roofs, though, grow old by the same rules. In Saint-Lazare, mature trees shed leaves, needles and branches that gather in the valleys and trap moisture against the shingles. In Hudson, the lake close by and the heavy tree canopy feed moss and algae on shaded slopes, all of it sitting on older roofs with steep, intricate shapes. The moment shingles start lifting or water finds a way in, every week of waiting adds to the cost. At AP Toitures & Fils, the crew on your roof is our own, and the job is wrapped up in a day.

Why Hudson and Saint‑Lazare homeowners call us back

A family business founded over 30 years ago, AP Toitures & Fils is led by Mr. Massie, a 4th-generation roofer, and holds its RBQ certification. We never subcontract: one crew, dedicated to residential asphalt shingles and nothing else. We understand how differently the two towns are built, from the newer single-family homes of Saddlebrook in Saint-Lazare to the century homes of Como and Hudson Heights. We work fast, look after your roof in English or in French, and stand behind it with a 10-year workmanship warranty.

A full re‑roof in premium asphalt shingles

Premium asphalt shingles are what we install, with steady attention to ventilation and the waterproof underlayment beneath them. On Hudson’s older, complex rooflines and on Saint-Lazare’s large newer homes alike, attic ventilation that is designed properly keeps condensation out and stretches the roof’s lifespan. It is the quiet detail that, over more than 500 roofs, has separated the ones that last from the ones that do not.

Storm damage and repairs, around the clock

A shingle torn off, flashing that has loosened, a branch brought down across the roof after a windstorm. On large wooded lots, all three are common. We respond quickly in Saint-Lazare and Hudson, 24/7 for emergencies and on schedule for maintenance, and we look over the neighbouring sections to cut off the next leak before it starts.

Knowing what you are buying: roof inspection

About to buy a character property in Hudson, or a home on a generous lot in Saint-Lazare? An inspection by an RBQ-certified roofer spares you the surprises, especially on older roofs that carry a lot of slopes. You get an honest report, and nobody trying to talk you into a sale.

Snow removal for steep, complex roofs

The steep pitches and intricate shapes of older homes hold their snow load differently than a plain roof does. We offer roof snow removal in Saint-Lazare and Hudson to take the strain off the structure and stop ice dams from forming when the weather turns.

FAQ

What should you prepare before our team arrives?

Rest easy — we handle everything. When we arrive, we just need space: full access to your driveway and the street frontage for our equipment, and we even bring a portable toilet. Our team protects ground-level items, but as a precaution, please remove fragile pieces (glass tables, BBQs, etc.). One last thing: if you can mow your lawn beforehand, it makes our nail-magnet cleanup much more efficient.

On the ground across Saint‑Lazare and Hudson

Saint-Lazare is known for its equestrian community, its large lots and its wooded sectors built on thick sand deposits. A solid share of the housing stock went up between the 1990s and 2000s, which means a lot of those roofs are now hitting replacement age. Hudson, its neighbour on Lac des Deux Montagnes, is a heritage, largely English-speaking village born from the merger of Hudson, Hudson Heights and Como, home to some of the oldest houses in the region and roofs that ask for real craftsmanship. AP Toitures & Fils serves both municipalities, along Highway 40 and Routes 340 and 342, as well as nearby Rigaud and Vaudreuil-Dorion. We know the dense canopy, the humidity coming off the lake, and the winters that pack ice dams along the eaves. On the edge of either town? Reach out, we will come to you.
